Ollie focuses on security transformation and colleague safety and has been with Tesco for 15 years. His background in criminology and psychology helps him to understand the human side of risk, and he tries to bring that perspective into everything he does.
Ollie has worked across a range of retail, distribution and fulfilment environments, giving him a practical understanding of the different security challenges that colleagues face day-to-day. Ollie works closely with teams across Tesco to develop and deliver practical, technology-led solutions that help make their stores safer places to work, and easier places to shop.
As part of the Safer Stores initiative, focused on supporting colleagues during security incidents, one of the key programmes Ollie has overseen is the introduction of body-worn video, delivered in partnership with Reveal. These next‑generation body-worn cameras are fully integrated with Tesco’s internally developed security software, and connected to their central CCTV Security Hub.
So far, body-worn video has been rolled to more than 1,400 stores across both Express and Large formats, and Tesco is among the first retailers to provide this technology to Grocery Home Delivery drivers.
