With deployments growing fast, the focus is now on refining performance…
Over the past few weeks, the drone deployments have started to bed in.
The systems are live and doing exactly what they were designed to do.
Now the focus turns to getting even more from what’s already in place.
With several deployments now live across different sectors, we can start thinking about optimisation rather than installation.
Getting hardware onto a site is only the first step. The real value comes from refining the inputs and outputs, and making sure every sensor, trigger, response, and data stream is configured to deliver the maximum operational benefit.
Over the past few weeks, that’s exactly where attention has been.
Each environment presents different demands, whether it’s logistics, energy infrastructure, or commercial premises. Tweaking detection thresholds, refining response protocols, and improving data capture means the systems are performing at their highest possible level.
Speaking of inputs, it’s not just configuration that’s evolving. Both our distributor and the manufacturer have recognised the pace at which docked drone deployments are accelerating in the UK market.
We’ve placed our largest order to date, and they have followed suit. It’s a clear signal of where things are heading and means that we’re ready for the volume of installations scheduled over the coming weeks.
Beyond scale, the focus has also been on precision: what we deploy, how we integrate it, and how each component contributes to mitigating specific risks.
One upcoming offshore deployment is particularly exciting. It represents a first – both for us and, as far as we can tell, within the wider industry. It’s another example of how drone capability is expanding beyond traditional environments into more complex and demanding settings.
From an operational standpoint, this month also marked an important milestone. As an organisation, we’ve now surpassed 200 hours of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLoS) flight time, accumulated over roughly the past 13-14 months.
That figure will climb rapidly as deployments increase, but it’s a meaningful benchmark. It reflects confidence, capability, and growing operational maturity as well as usage.
The pace of adoption is unmistakable. But the real story isn’t simply about flying more drones. It’s about refining performance, integrating intelligence, and ensuring each deployment delivers measurable value.
The installations may be visible. The optimisation work behind them is quieter. But that’s where the real progress happens.
