France is taking one of Europe’s most decisive steps yet against ‘forever chemicals’.
They are introducing strict rules to ban Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in a wide range of consumer products.
From 1 January, 2026, manufacturers, importers and brands placing goods on the French market face new obligations covering textiles, cosmetics, waxes, footwear and waterproofing agents.
