If last week’s UK Heroes of Retail Risk Awards (HORRAs) were a reminder of the incredible people working in retail, Melbourne is about to showcase a whole new collection of inspiring stories.
Taking place on 13th August following Retail Risk – Melbourne, the Australian HORRAs shine a spotlight on the selfless actions, bravery and acts of kindness shown by frontline colleagues across Australian retail.
It’s a celebration of the people who go above and beyond every single day – often without expecting any recognition at all.
Every person entered into this year’s Awards will receive a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of their actions and the fact that their peers were inspired to nominate them. An independent panel of judges will then select the very best entries across eight award categories.
The finalists’ stories will be professionally filmed and showcased during a spectacular Gala Dinner at Crown Melbourne. It promises to be an unforgettable evening, with winners receiving their awards in front of colleagues, peers and industry leaders.
Of course, an occasion this special deserves top-tier entertainment.
This year, that honour falls to award-winning stand-up comedian Dilruk Jayasinha, who will host the evening. With Dilruk at the helm, you can expect plenty of laughs alongside the inevitable tears of pride and inspiration.
As one critic put it: “You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more buoyant, joyful comedian.”
The Heroes of Retail Risk Awards Gala Dinner will be a glittering black tie affair with a champagne reception, four course fine-dining experience with wines, and the Awards themselves. Later on, there will be live music performed by a band of international repute, followed by a DJ and dancing until late.
