Will Kemi Badenoch win glory at the Heroes of Retail Risk Awards 2026?

The Leader of the Opposition is hoping for victory. Don’t let her win! Make sure you put your entry in for the HORRAs TODAY!

Starting her campaign for May’s local elections, the Tory leader told Times Radio that she would personally confront a thief if she thought there was no risk to her safety…

I think it depends on how big they are,” she said. “But yes, broadly, it would be my instinct. I think people should look after their personal safety. I think those people who are stronger should do more.

And of course it is exactly the people who “do more” on the front line of retail that the Heroes of Retail Risk Awards (HORRAs) are there to recognise…

The Heroes of Retail Risk Awards will take place on 18th June 2026, following Retail Risk – London at the Novotel Hammersmith West, London. Taking its cue from The Daily Mail Pride of Britain Awards, this brilliant event shines a spotlight on selfless actions, bravery and acts of kindness in the retail industry.

The security guard who bravely saves the day. The cashier who recognises a victim of abuse and intervenes. The team of fund raisers working towards a charitable goal. These are the sorts of unsung heroes that The Heroes of Retail Risk Awards recognises.

Eight categories are open for entries. You can enter yourself, a colleague a team or a business as appropriate. All categories are open to retailers, suppliers, academics and members of our emergency services.

“The best Awards show I have ever attended… Anywhere”

The winners are chosen by an independent judging panel.

Winners are announced at a glittering Awards Gala Dinner, hosted by Sky News anchor, Sian Jones. Each of our heroes’ stories are told through videos played on the main stage screens and awards conferred.

Launched last year, the HORRAs provide a fitting tribute to the selfless efforts of those who embody everything that is good and offer a beacon of hope in a sometimes gloomy world.

There will be laughter. There will be tears. And there will be loud, long applause throughout an emotional rollercoaster of an evening made all the more irresistible for that.

Whatever your political leanings, the one thing we can agree on is that those who do put themselves in harm’s way, go the extra mile or selflessly help others are worthy of recognition.

So, go to The Heroes of Retail Risk Awards – UK | Retail Risk and put forward all those heroes whom you feel deserve recognition.

Go on. Show you care…
