New surveillance technology to exhibit at Retail Risk – London

The world’s first Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) – Ocucon – has announced that it will be exhibiting for the first time at Retail Risk London on 26th April this year.

Visitors to the Ocucon stand (25 & 29) will be able to test out the new technology first hand, as well as speak to industry experts regarding queries on CCTV, cloud storage and bespoke security solutions. They’ll also be the first to hear more about Ocucon’s new artificial intelligence product!

Ocucon delivers a powerful, cloud-based storage and retrieval platform, combining intelligent data analytics with the facility to store, analyse and retrieve unlimited amounts of HD video surveillance footage from within the Ocucon portal. It is the first technology of its kind to offer unlimited cloud-based storage as a service.

Previously, retailers have only been able to store CCTV footage for a restricted timeframe, due to storage space and hardware limitations. But the world’s first Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) system – Ocucon – can provide unlimited storage for an unrestricted number of cameras. This technology therefore removes constraints on the amount of surveillance footage an organisation can retain and is set to revolutionise the ability of UK businesses to defend against fraudulent cases of slips, trips and falls – currently estimated to cost the UK economy more than £800 million a year.

Since its successful launch at Retail Risk Leicester just five months ago, the Ocucon platform has already seen significant interest from both UK and US retail chains – with a number of the leading brands already piloting the pioneering technology.

Ocucon Co-Founder, Gary Trotter commented: “We have been incredibly busy since our launch at Retail Risk Leicester and are in talks with a number of major retailers in both the UK and the states who are excited by our offering. We were therefore keen to exhibit again at Retail Risk, this time in London, in order to meet with new retailers and see how we can help them with their CCTV and security requirements.”
