Dina Yakhin

Director of Asset Protection, Canada and International

Gap

Dina Yakhin is a Director of Asset Protection who oversees all store locations in Canada, China, and Japan. Dina joined Gap Inc as an Area Asset Protection Manager back in March 2012 focusing her attention on talent, safety, and shortage reduction. Since then, she and her team of 43 have consistently helped influence and shape the level of support and education field leaders receive from compliance to safety protocols.

Dina would eventually become Canada’s Sr Regional Asset Protection manager where her passion for teaching and coaching helped elevate the department overall and facilitated the smooth transition of the Asset Protection department into a centralized model within Gap Inc. The significant impact she made in the department was made by her deliberate focus on growing her team. This up leveling paved the path to her most recent promotion as director back in July 2022. If there is something to be said about Dina, she is relentless in her pursuit of helping to unlock a leader’s full potential!

Dina was born and raised in Ukraine and at a young age moved to Israel and eventually to Canada. Fun fact about Dina is that she speaks 5 languages (English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Hebrew). In her free time, she loves to travel and to learn about new places and cultures!

V Wilkes

Head of Security

Primark

V has a career spanning more than 20 years in the retail/commercial manned guarding, CIT and remote monitoring sectors with an international remit. V creates inclusive security solutions combining physical-guarding, technology and systems, which she is highly passionate about.

I guess I always wanted to fight crime and injustice (perhaps watched too many episodes of The Bill growing up!)  Originally, I wanted to join the Police, so my father told me to get some university of life experience first.  Getting a job in security seemed a logical first step, so I started working for a security company at a warehouse on the gates.  That journey has lead me to my current role as  Head of Security for Primark internationally.

I’m always excited to learn and hungry to develop. To make security fit for the future,  I believe in building a clear strategy while constantly innovating, progressing, listening and supporting ideas which drive the business forward. My career path in the security industry has been an amazing journey for me.
