Corin Dennison

Director, Global Profit Protection of a major German sports brand

With over 27 yrs experience within the law enforcement / security arena, Corin served for 19 yrs within the UK Police Service as a Detective, specializing in all areas of major crime including Counter Terrorism, with secondments to the National Football Intelligence Unit (England National Team) and the Foreign Office training Iraqi Police Personnel in the Middle East.

From Global Corporate Investigations Manager for Burberry Ltd, he moved to a major German sports brand in 2013 and is currently the Director Global Profit Protection with responsibility for all aspects of Retail Compliance & Profit Protection, overseeing a retail estate of 2400 stores. His Global Profit Protection Team have recently won awards from OSPA & Retail Risk, and Corin is the LP Director of the Year 2019 awarded by Retail Risk. In 2020 he became a Director of Insight Retail Risk Consultancy and he regularly presents as a subject matter expert on corporate & retail security topics and holds the CPP qualification from ASIS International.

He worked across both the UK and Europe at a strategic level and is now working for The Perfume Shop which is part of A S Watson, responsible for the Security and Audit function. He classes himself as a generalist, understanding all areas of Risk within the retail sector, a customer centric individual who keeps things simple to achieve industry leading results.

Rob is an experienced retail professional with an extensive background in Loss Prevention/Security gained in the Armed Forces, within both large and small retailers and the Services industry. With nearly 30 year’s experience, Rob has progressed from humble beginnings within retail security, after leaving the Royal Navy, working for the likes of Debenhams, House of Fraser, Next, Dixons & O2 at varying levels, plus heading up Loss Prevention & Business Risk departments at Dunelm & Footasylum, with accountability for formulating, defining and executing loss prevention strategies focused on reducing financial losses, minimising the number & severity of incidents, investigation of criminal offences, in particular acquisitive crime, directed against retail stores & warehousing facilities.

Matt Laycock

Head of Group Profit Protection

Halfords

Matt is Head of Group Profit Protection for Halfords and took up his current role in 2014. Following a successful reduction in retail losses, his remit was broadened to full Group responsibility, including the Halfords Autocentre garage business.

Matt has been an active part of the Loss Prevention community since 2000 and has helped a number of international retailers – including Kingfisher (B&Q) and Best Buy – to “sell more & lose less”

Matt employs a true “business partner” approach and believes that to be fully effective, Loss Prevention must collaborate with all parts of a business in order to support lower loss and more profitable sales.

Aimee Regan

Aimee is currently Global Head of Profit Protection for Dyson Aimee has been in the Loss Prevention Industry for over 20 years in Retail with Texas and Homebase, Foodservice with Compass Group and manned guarding with Interserve, before heading back into Retail with Arcadia and more recently Dyson. 

Charged with setting up the team from scratch at Dyson within the innovative culture of a future facing business, where failure is applauded as part of the journey the opportunities are endless, so keeping it simple it the main challenge!

Dave Hill

David served in the UK Armed Forces before moving into the Loss Prevention and Security Industry where he has spent the last 20 years.

He is currently the Head of Loss Prevention & Security for the Fossil Group, a global design, marketing, distribution and innovation company with 30,000 points of distribution and 450 owned retail locations globally. David leads the EMEA and APAC regions with a multi organisational responsibility inclusive of Retail, Corporate, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

David is passionate in providing an engaging, “Greater Together” approach to Loss Prevention at Fossil. “Innovation and Creativity are key to our success, especially with new digital and multi-channel objectives across the organisation. Listening to our business partners and channelling the right LP approach through their objectives is what makes us successful as a team. When our people succeed, we succeed.”

Steve Wilkinson

Director of Safety and Security

Steve served in the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) at operational and strategic levels leading investigations and counter measures against transnational organised crime. This included the trafficking of drugs, guns and people as well as murder, rape and kidnap. Steve was an advisor to the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime (UNODC) on human trafficking and specialist investigative  techniques.

On leaving the MPS Steve was Head of Investigations and Security (and deputy MLRO) at Harrods before joining Marriott International (30 brands including Ritz-Carlton, W, Edition, Sheraton Grand and The Grosvenor) where he was  Head of Security/Investigations EMEA.

Steve is the current Director of Safety and Security for Richemont UK. This includes the following Maisons:-  Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels, Vacheron, Panerai, Chloe, Purdey, Dunhill, Montblanc).
